Hivewell must have used his controlling powers to erase those memories. I bet he’s the one who screwed with Pivot at the warehouse. He must have sifted through Pivot’s memories and found out that Socket told her about the warehouse. Although that begs the question, was Hivewell already at the warehouse when she went there? Like if he was then why did he decide to go back there? And if not than why would he care about pivot discovering the leftover Pivot work when he obviously didn’t care about it being found the first time the IFS went there to investigate? Maybe that warehouse’s insulation is just super useful, and he figured it wouldn’t hurt to go back there now that the IFS stuff cleared up?
In fact thinking about it, why did Hivewell send the breaker unit? I mean obviously the breaker unit would be the fall guy and would be better at keeping yourself hidden than just using your control powers yourself to completely screw them up and kill them. And my guess is he intentionally left Pivot alive but just incapacitated so the Breaker unit had time to get over to the facility. But like, if all of his stuff is gone, and Pivot doesn’t remember any of it, then what information is there to protect?
